Covid Lull Inspires Local Composer to Plan Something New

 May 11, 2023

by Craig Curry

Wichita, KS: Local composer, Craig Curry, announced today he is launching a free, limited-time sample of his Key Command Media 2023 Christian Focus Planner. Highlights of the planner include:

  • Daily Devotions
  • Study Bible and Sermon Notes
  • Daily Planner
  • Goal and Habit Tracker
  • Customizable Templates
  • User Guide

Curry never dreamed of taking off composing to design a digital planner and launch a media company, but 2020 changed things. As Covid ramped up, church services halted or moved online. Choirs and other musical gatherings were especially seen as potentially dangerous, and Curry’s composing career came to a screeching halt.

Not one to sit idle, Curry practiced jazz piano. Lots of jazz piano. He wanted to track his practice, but none of the available tracking apps fit his needs. So, Curry taught himself to use graphic design tools and created his own digital journal, which he soon customized with added sections for his daily routines: tracking his weight loss, keeping a journal, reading scripture, praying, and scheduling tasks and plans. The planner helped Curry make 2020 a year of personal growth and gratefulness. He lost 55 pounds, spent more time with his college-aged daughter, converted his sheet music to a digital library, prayed, journaled, and honed his design skills.

Although his planner was designed for his personal use, in 2021 that changed. “It occurred to me that others might be interested in this too,” recounts Curry. “I set up an Etsy store and started a new company, Key Command Media. In the past year, I've focused most of my attention on building a new planner while the print music industry and choirs rebound.”

For a limited time, Curry is offering a free trial of his 2023 Christian Focus Planner hoping to engage more users and gain constructive feedback as he begins to build for 2024. Learn more about Key Command Media and sign up to receive your free sample at https://keycommandmedia.com.
