Hebrews 12:11

A young boy sits with his face and arms resting on his knees looking downward with a woman's hand on his shoulder with Hebrews 12:11, "No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who have been trained by it."

(from Streams in the Desert, November 29) “You can always count on God to make the “afterward” of difficulties, if rightly overcome, a thousand times richer and fairer than the forward. “No chastening . . . seemeth joyous . . . nevertheless afterward. . . .” What a yield!”
